Hello, I just start on Keto 2 days ago. When I enter my data in the Total Keto Diet app, it gives me the following:
2422 Cals
194g Fat
144g Pro
25g Carb

Other calculators were less, closer to 2000 calories, 20g of carbs and Fat/Protein nearly the same around 144g.

I thought this was supposed to be around 70/25/5 for Fat/Protein/Carb ratio?

Any help/advice would be appreciated.

They’re all just guides, pick a happy medium and be ready to adjust as needed.

Fat has 9 calories per gram where protein and carbs have 4, so your protein and fat could be close in terms of grams, but the percent is still much heigher in favor of fat.

The different numbers you may be finding is because there is a difference in opinion in how much protein you should have. It’s based on lean muscle weigh. Some will say as low as .6 grams for every pound of LMW, some will go as high as 1.25.

Try to find one and stick to it, so as to be apples to apples.

I’ve been (and am still) calculator-focused and use them for guidance, and to mirror what I’m actually eating that keeps me comfortable and shows results.

I’m partial to the ruled me calc which shows the “lose, maintain, build muscle” comparisons, and generally fall in a nice range.
