Cake for breakfast

#1

Found a wonderful cake replacement from Whole Foods called poparuba cake bites. They have a chocolate, lemon cake, mint chocolate, chocolate raspberry, and sea salt caramel flavors. The thing I liked best was the 2g of net carbs. Does however have xylitol FYI. Thoughts?

It’s a treat.
Enjoy it.
On occasion.
Daily use would be quite excessive.
It wouldn’t help weight loss or likely cause major stalls like a high carb snack.
Depending how well you do for the rest of the foods for the day, and how metabolically healthy you are, and active you are, you might not have any problems with this treat.

where to buy - https://www.poparuba.com/apps/store-locator (certainly not at many locations)

Crud, I was just at Whole Foods yesterday. If I had known about these, I definitely would have picked some up. Oh well, I’ll add it to the list for next time.

I don’t eat a lot of sweetened stuff, so xylitol hasn’t been a problem for me. Some ketonians try to stay with stevia or erythritol since they seem to raise blood sugars the least.

Works for me. Where in the store did you find these?

I found them near the refrigerated drinks where the coffees and kombucha are

5 net carbs for such a tiny serving size (17g) seems like a rip-off. You can whip up some nice keto brownies to store in the fridge for far less money and net carbs and using lower glycemic ingredients. A little extra work but worth it.

Good point!
