Bye bye Dairy. It’s been epic 😢

I LOVE CREAM…and cream cheese…and cheese…and creme fraiche…and sour cream. Since starting keto I’ve become a lot more in tune with my body. I’ve just become more aware of how certain foods make me feel. So I began to notice when I did have any of the above  my weight loss stalled, I felt bloated and my skin broke out. So I bit the bullet…and did a food intolerence test…and the results are in :frowning: It’s official…I’m intolerant them  :broken_heart: I’m not sure if I have developed these intolerances because I’ve been eating a lot of things on the list since starting keto a few months ago or they were always there :woman_shrugging:t2:

On the upside though… just kidding…there is no upside :sleepy:

Bye bye dairy :sleepy: bye bye chicken :sleepy: bye bye Apple cider vinegar  bye bye carnauba wax :woman_shrugging:t2:

Think I’ll just stick to bacon, eggs and avocado

Wow this is fascinating! Your intolerant of chicken too? Was this test expensive?

I’m so sorry for your loss

#4

Thank you for your condolences. Its a sad…sad day :disappointed:

I love how they had to describe milk

#6

I do feel dodgy after chicken but always assumed and blamed whatever I had WITH the chicken. Poor broccoli got the brunt of it  I got a deal online. …€40 …I’m in Ireland but it was a UK based company. Just sent away a few hairs and prayed that myself and dairy could still be BFFs :crossed_fingers:t2:

I’m going to look into this! Thanks for sharing!

#8

:rofl: only noticed that now! They can calm down on the Stilton cheese …Ok ok I GET IT!

#9

The carnauba wax they mention is the coating on the magnesium tablets I’ve been taking too

So sad… I don’t think we are meant to eat so much dairy. It’s not easily digestible and causes inflammation. Must be why I love it so much!!! I try to limit it

#11

Yeh I’ve definately upped my dairy since starting keto …then decreased because I had a feeling I was intolerant…so cut back. I wasn’t having any pale liquid produced by the mammary glands of mammals but I genuinely love cream and cream cheese etc. I do feel better when I cut back

(MelissaH) #12

I did too when I first started and then I started feelings terrible. So I cut back

#13

It’s just so nice though :weary:

(MelissaH) #14

Ohhhh I know! I was putting cream cheese in everything

#15

I feel your pain with the dairy :frowning:. Chicken is interesting. So do eggs give you issues as well since they are unhatched chickens?

#16

Oh never thought of that! :cold_sweat: I don’t think I’ve noticed any issues with eggs. They’d have mentioned eggs I’m sure…I hope…wouldn’t they :cold_sweat::cold_sweat:

Question about the eggs? Do you eat regular cheap factory farmed eggs, or pastured eggs? I’m asking bc something occurred to me while looking at your food list. Could you tolerate organic chicken perhaps? Or raw goat cheese maybe. The hormones and everything can’t be good for us.

#18

I was literally googling the difference between free range and non free range eggs earlier. I’ll definitely be buying free range from now on :cold_sweat: I’m sure there’s a link between the intolerances and foods containing hormones. I can’t even take the pill…or any kind of birth control (and I have tried everything!) or I act crazy.

Aw man, I’m sorry :frowning:

It’s so weird they list stilton and cream cheese but not cream , gorgonzola, danish blue or hard cheeses, what’s with that?

#20

I was thinking that too! I wonder if hard cheeses are ok then :eyes: and butter …they never mentioned butter. Maybe it’s not dairy…just…milk…Stilton and cream cheese
