@erdoke posted this on fb which I found very interesting.

Here’s a link to more detailed information.

Interesting… but my gut response is, why is it for professionals (only) to use? It’s delivered via an iPad using the onboard camera - why can’t Joe Public use it?

It appears you can, but in order for it to replace BMI as the new standard then medical professionals need to embrace it. If it does replace BMI then even more non-professionals will utilize the app. Just my thoughts. I downloaded it, gonna give it go. It seems you get 20 scans for free with the ability to purchase more. So why not try. I had a bodpod scan done a month ago it will be interesting to see how close this app predicts BF% etc.

Awesome! Interested to hear about your results. Presently, it’s only available for Apple products and I’ve got Android.

Easier and very accurate to just do waist/height ratio. Good indicator of IR. Much better than BMI.

Yes, but I like the BF% it gives and curious about that.

Oh, that’s worth a go then, isn’t it? If you only use it on yourself and do it, say, every 3 months to track, it’l be 5 years before you have to pay.
