Butter. There is a first time for everything

I actually bit into (twice) a block of Kerrygold butter last night. I expected the food gods to send a lightening bolt to strike me dead. But look, I’m still here to write about it.

(Mike W.) #2

Now try it on top of some dark chocolate

(Pete A) #3

Food porn.

(Jeanne Wagner) #4

Dang. Starting day 3 of a fast…I really shouldn’t have looked at this! LOL

(Mike W.) #5

I will be having some Saturday when I break mine!

(Ethan) #6

Yeah. I am into day 4…one more to go, and I will enjoy butter with Spangvola 80%!

(TJ Borden) #7

OH SHIT!!! I am trying that later.

#8

Not strange at all! I’ve found myself nibbling on butter in order to get my fat intake up and if I’m still feeling hungry. A little weird in the mouth at first - but once it starts melting…Yumm!!

(Pat S) #9

OMG! How daring!

(Brian) #10

Butta makes everything Betta!

(Mike W.) #11

And delicious.

(Liz ) #12

Nice! If I’m still hungry after dinner I have slices of Kerrygold, that usually trips my satiety signals pretty reliably.

(TJ Borden) #13

The plain butter I’ve done, I just never thought to use dark chocolate as a vessel for it. As a treat I’ll eat a square then chase it with a shot of HWC

#14

I love it with slices of Dubliner cheese.

#15

I love butter but I never thought to eat it all by itself. Might as well eat mayonnaise by the spoonful while you’re at it. :stuck_out_tongue:

(Mike W.) #16

Go for it!

(TJ Borden) #17

And what would be wrong with eating mayo by the spoonful?..,asking for a friend

(TJ Borden) #18

I even did that when I was a kid. Who knew, that was probably one of the healthiest things I ate as a kid

(Jack Brien) #19

Butter on pork scratchings tonight. Delish

Yes; however, the salt: with coconut oil; way nicer, although I do love butter. Plain, not so much especially the European style double cream butter. The Costco Darigold salted butter; solo: or with extra salt rings all my chimes. Salt with coconut oil is still my go-to bomb. Once I got to ketosis after almost a year of this WOE: the intermittent fasting: so easy. From 221 to 190 lbs, held for a year already. Such joy, to feel my rib cage and xiphoid process bone by the sternum, and have no hanger.
