Bulletproof coffee stopping fasting

(LeeAnn Brooks) #21

its worth an elimination experiment, but many can eat it with no problem, myself included. It has never caused even a dip in my ketosis.

And there are great health benefits to chocolate that make the extra sugar worth it if it’s something one can tolerate. When it’s practically the only sugar source you get, in most cases it will be fine. But if added to other sugar sources, I can see a definate problem.

Interesting. Not the numbers I was working with. May be the difference between American and EU formulations…

(Dom DePlume) #23

Possibly. I know for me that pretty much any fructose makes me retain water like crazy. Don’t get me wrong: I love me some chocolate, and I do keep it in my life, but strictly sugar-free (there’ll be a post from me about this in the next day or so).

Where do you get the brazil nuts? I’ve been looking for those.

(LeeAnn Brooks) #25

This is the one I eat. But I only have 2 squares. Not the 3 listed as the serving size.

you shouldnt have coffee near to when you have suppliments. It completely renders them useless as the coffee stops the uptake of most of them.

(Allie) #28

Depends on the supplements I think.

(ember) #29

sure but why wouldnt you just take them an hour before or after to allow for maximum absorbtion? Personally I get my suppliments from a naturopath and spend a stack on specific ones and wouldnt risk it. It would be literally like peeing money down the drain. The advice given to me by numerous practitioners is the same … wait an hour either before or after w suppliments and coffee or any stimulants. I know that some specific herbal remedies need to be taken with food. Or after as is the case with magnesium. Magnesium n an empty stomach will give most people diarrhoea.
