Budget gym

#1

I’ve managed to pick up some bargains for my home gym.
Unfortunately it’s not a proper space in my house, but a tarp over a corner of the garden.

So far I’ve managed to get a cross trainer, 2 kettle bells, 30foot battle rope, bench press rack with adjustable bench and an olymoic bar all for under £100.
The olympic weights are just so crazy expensive I can’t afford them. I should have gone for a standard bar with some cheap sand filled weights.

Pretty impressive! That’s commitment.

A great price, too.

Hey that’s a great set up to start with!

After covid hit, the price of weights went through the stratosphere. I had found great deals on equipment auctions from gyms going out of business and on an app called Let Go. Prices still haven’t come down.

If there’s a will, there’s a way. I have a 1 bedroom apartment. Working out is hella important in my life, so I sacrifice a normal living space and I share a bedroom with a full size squat rack. :joy:

That’s awesome!
If I can have a squat rack, it’ll be living outside. And kill probably have to make it myself.
But one day…

Also, its a great time to pick up cheaper items. So many people bought stuff during lock down that they are now not using.
