Other than eggs and keto coffee what are some options for breakfast?

I cook a few strips of bacon in my cast-iron skillet, then briefly saute some greens (usually spinach / kale mix) in the grease, then pour 3-4 eggs over them. Cover, turn the stove down to about 1/4 and let cook for a few minutes. I flip the omelet, add a little grated cheese, sometimes a little guac, sometimes sriracha. That’ll usually hold me until 1:00pm or so, Oh, after I pour the eggs I add a tablespoon of hemp hearts for some omega 3&6.
I’m new to keto, but it seems keto-ish from what I’ve read/heard.
I often have bacon, eggs and cheese with avocado, spinach, broccoli and cauliflower pieces.
Yeppers! Who defined “breakfast” food anyway? Errr…insert name of marketing/food giant of your choice?!
Treat it for what it is I say; break your fast with whatever keto goodness that takes your fancy at the time!
This morning, although if I’m really honest is was just a shade left of noon, I nibbled on a small handful of salted macadamias - yum!!
- cream cheese and avocado wrapped in smoked salmon slices.
- savoury fat bombs using cream cheese, bacon bits coated on the outside
- portobello sauteed in butter with goat cheese crumbs
- shakshouka with chorizo or salami
I recently discovered N’Oatmeal:
Mix 2 tbsp hemp hearts and 2 tbsp Chia seeds with almond milk or coconut cream or heavy whipping cream. Let it sit overnight, so the seeds soak up the liquid. Add flavour / fat / sweetener to taste.
I think it’s super quick in the morning and macros are easily adjustable. And even after 2 months of keto I still want a sweet breakfast sometimes.
Mainly just coffee and sometimes skip lunch. Those days my brain feels more active so long as I drink water.
Otherwise, if I’m hungry an omelet
Or an avocado … or an avocado omelet!
Another quick-fix is a tin of sardines or a small tin of tuna and mix with mayo and pepper. Eat with a spoon yum … but I haven’t done that for breakfast yet…
