Bpc

(Cassandra Higdon) #1

So I’m on day 5 I believe…
Tried BPC this morning for the first time, before i went to work. Its been 5 hours and im just now starting to feel like i could eat something!!!
And might I just say, I really liked it!!! I’m still worried that I made it wrong (I am low budget so I only have regular butter, not grass fed.) But I am feeling amazing today!!!

Sorry for blowing up the forum with my silly/stupid comments/topics lol.

I am also on my 5th day… love to lose weight, of course, but mainly need to feel better. I have always been healthy but the past year I have begun to have pains that keep me from sleeping, They have gotten worse the past 3 months. I do not want to do the doctors rodeo… I want to be healthy… not chase symptoms. So here I am!

Did you blend the butter into the coffee or stir it? There’s a wonderful texture when it’s good and blended.

If you get an immersion blender ($10 from wallyworld, $20 for a sturdy betty crocker with a quart sized beaker) you won’t want to go back and then try blending other things like TBSP of coconut oil, etc.

I like salted butter in my coffee more than unsalted. Coffee isn’t the same without it

Long live BPC! It’s a 16oz mug of happiness that fuels the first half of my day and a late-morning workout, bumps my GKI into the therapeutic zone, and gives me a ton of energy and focus. Even when It’s decaf.

I’ve been adding cinnamon, nutmeg, ground ginger , and a little clove to my BPC. (Along with the usual). Wife loves it more than an old pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks.

I’ve been blending browned salted butter into my coffee & wow is that good! Like salted caramel

(Cassandra Higdon) #9

I blended it. I read on the recipe I looked at that stirring makes it greasy n gross texture. I think I probably could’ve blended it longer but yea. sadly tho I used my mother n laws blender and coffee… those things are on my Christmas wishlist tho

I used salted this morning. I’m glad too :)

That sounds amazing!!!

The nutribullet makes amazing BPC. You can also whip the HWC before adding the other fats and coffee.

(Nancy McKnabb) #13

What is HWC? Thanks!

I usually add a pinch of salt to mine, celtic sea salt normally, whether I’m using salted or unsalted butter. I started doing that after listening to the Salt Fix episode. Love it.

Heavy Whipping Cream, awesome in coffee.

OOOO… cannot wait for breakfast!! LOLOL

I bought one of these works great. Just put your butter, coconut oil, coffee and salt and whip it in the cup. Easier to clean then the blender. Gets nice and frothy.

This morning in addition to the normal pinch of celtic sea salt in my BPC I sprinkled a tiny bit of Redmond’s Real Salt on top with the cinnamon and nutmeg. Nice!

Until about 2 months ago I was scared to salt anything.

Heavy whipping cream in BPC!!! Awesome!!!

I use cream (heavy whipping cream) just because its almost the same as butter (same fats, and a tiny amount of carbs and protein) and blends well without the need for special devices. I have a special device but prefer simplicity at breakfast time.
