Bone Broth, store bought

Most are outrageously expensive, but would do in a pinch. WAY cheaper to make your own!!
This first one, Zoup, looked great. About a quart for $6.50

There were serving size packages too. About a cup. One brand had 3 yummy flavors.

I’ve seen Bison bone broth too at Whole Foods.

I keep the small kitchen basics chicken bone broth at my desk at work in case I need a little something in the day. So far only used twice but they are super convenient to have on hand.

How’s the fat? All of the ones I have seen are 0 fat, low sodium etc.

Isn’t homemade lowfat too? Or are you reheating the container and letting the congealed fat melt back in to the gelatin?

costco

It makes a good layer at the top that I don’t eat, but I find it hard to believe that would be 0 fat for the rest of it.

I didn’t check the fat, likely low as they wouldn’t sell this with chunks of fat floating on top. I’ve never seen that. I’ve also never seen low sodium. All of these had plenty of sodium.

This! I do this with my homemade broth. Yum.

My homemade is not skimmed and retains the fat.

I just bought some bone broth. I’m thinking of trying it.
