Blood glucose and irritability

Ok you all are so helpful so I’m here with yet another question. 6 weeks on keto and had good success to start. I feel like I’m at a stall but my question involves a change in how I’ve been feeling (not losing weight). My mood is generally pretty good and I am a morning person. However, in the past week or so I have been feeling soooo crabby and I seriously think it’s diet/blood glucose related. I’m not diabetic (41yo/ 185lb/moderately active). I casually tested blood sugar before keto with other diets and never had fasting bg over 80 It was usually in the 70-80 range. This week my fasting bg has been 100-105. After I eat a keto meal, it drops to the 80 range within 30 minutes and I usually stop feeling irritable. This seems like the opposite of what I know about blood glucose. I thought it should increase after food. I know there may be a pre-dawn element to this but here’s the thing, I’ve had this happen in the evening as well. It’s almost like I can tell when my bg is higher because it makes me feel stressed even before I test it. (I’ve tested a few times when I get this feeling and it’s in the 100 range). I can tell you I’m not stressed about other things. I think the raise in bg is making my body feel stressed and irritable. Has anyone else had this experience? I’ve stayed under 20 g carbs. Have had a little wine here and there but I did that in the beginning too and it didn’t have an effect. I do have Hashimotos and take thyroid meds. I’m doing keto to prevent diabetes which does run in my family, also for weight loss, but mainly I just want to have good energy. So how do I get through this?

I’m not diabetic but suspect I’m a reactive hypoglycemic, and I know that when my BG levels spike or drop too quickly, I have lousy symptoms, including anxiety and irritability. So it puzzles me a little that you feel BETTER after a 20-25 number change. Hope you get some answers who are more knowledgeable than me on this subject.
