OK - that’s sort of a strange title I guess. I did try to do a few searches to find what I want, but I wasn’t successful.
I’m curious if there is a specific sub-group or place here where I should be asking my questions regarding my Keto process. The bottom line is that I only want to lose about 10 pounds, and I know that eating this way is really what makes me feel the healthiest. I just feel better when I don’t eat carbs. Period.
However, I’m probably just as big of a sugar junkie as the next guy or gal. My way of keeping my weight under control right before starting back on Keto 2 weeks ago: eating an entire package of Oreo’s with a glass of milk as my one meal of the day. So basically, getting almost all of my calories from SUGAR but trying to keep a handle on how many calories I took in. Once in a while I’d turn back to low-carb for a few days. Sometimes try low cal. I’ve always known what works for me, but I’m not always able to jump back in.
I know. I know. Absolutely crazy. But pulled off for quite a while like an accomplished sugar junkie, right?
So, I know that I’m sort of lucky that at 57 years old I’ve been able to do this yo-yo thing for so long and really keep my weight at a decent place. I’ve really never had a serious weight problem and my health is decent (I think.) I do, however, have lots of “stress” in my live - family things. You know. And I have a family history of high cholesterol and high blood pressure and am currently on medication for both.
I’m just trying to figure out where would be the best place for me to come to ask questions, and maybe whine a little. Case in point, I’ve been doing this for over 2 weeks and really haven’t lost any weight! I’ll be the first to admit that I’m doing the old lazy Keto (tried tracking for a few days and I just can’t deal.) But when I was tracking I was doing fine.
Is it because I only have about 10 pounds to lose that I’m having such a hard time? That and the fact that I’m a post menopausal woman? Honestly, I just don’t want to be annoying to anyone here with my posts on my own issues. Should I just stick with the sub-groups for “vintage” ladies? Anything for people with only a little to lose?
