What is the best food to order at Italian resturant.
Best food to order at an Italian restaurant
Antipasto platter, meat and vegetable Alfredo (no pasta obviously, just ask for meat, veggies, and the sauce), salad with olive oil based dressing, meatballs IF they donât have breadcrumbs in them (youâd have to ask the waiter)
A lot of restaurants allow ordering of specific items. For example, at Olive Garden, you can order a side of broccoli, a side of grilled chicken, and a boat of Alfredo sauce. Thatâs a lot cheaper than ordering a chicken Alfredo dinner and ignoring the soup, breadsticks, and pasta.
In addition to these excellent suggestions, whether local or chain, most Italian restaurants no longer carry extra virgin olive oil or serve margarine instead of butter. So bring your own butter or EVOO.
WHAAAAT?! Thatâs a shame and I honestly had no idea havenât been in an Italian restaurant since Keto. Breadsticks WILL trigger me
We went to Olive Garden last weekend and I ordered salmon and zucchini. It was disappointing lol
Went to Olive garden got shrimp scampi over broccoli instead of pasta and they had bacon wrapped brussel sprouts that were to die for!
I find the fear of being kicked out of ketosis stronger than my desire for those bread sticks!
Lol donât like broccoli or Brussel sprouts and really donât like zucchini lol. The salmon was eh.
Great suggestion along with some other great suggestions in this discussion.
