Bah!

This lump of gristle that looks like the dog has been chewing it is what Tesco delivered when asked for a two inch thick ribeye. Luckily a refund is easily forthcoming, but very disappointed to pull this out of the fridge

Do you have a dog that is now enjoying the lump of gristle? :dog2:

That’s why it pays to have a good butcher…or two…or …well actually I have 4 or 5 I help keep in business…

Why not go to the store and pick out your own stuff?

I’d eat it after cooking at 130deg for about 4 hours using the Sous Vide method. That’s candy!

I ate it. It was tender enough, but tasteless and pretty yuck. The dog is only allowed her own food at the moment as she’s being as fussy as a child and refusing to eat unless it’s junk! And that much beef would give her the shits big time. I have some really nice steaks in the freezer, but I wanted something really thick to run through the sous vide properly and Tesco’s delivers our shopping. I shan’t make the same mistake twice.
