Bad Hobbit in Alternate-Day Fasting/Feasting

(Ethan) #1

A couple weeks ago, I started alternate-day fasting, where I only eat on days that begin with S and T. Overall, this is working out wonderfully so far. I originally intended to do this as a fasting/feasting schedule, but I have had trouble with the feasting part.

Breakfast has been pretty normal for me. I can eat a 3- or 4-egg omelette with cream cheese and fee nicely full.

Initially, second breakfast was working out, with maybe some sardines. But recently, I haven’t always eaten second breakfast.

The lack of hungry has also lead to me sometimes skipping Elevenses. I just feel full after breakfast.

I can still muster up the hungry to eat lunch, and afternoon tea is pretty simple.

I’ve had trouble eating both dinner and supper, though, on so-called feasting days.

Hi. I fast 36 hours and eat 12 hours. In the 12 hours I ate 3 big meals. But lately I’m full so now I only eat 2 meals in the 12 hours. I use the my fitness pal app to eat about 1500kcal with macro percentages 10%carbs 15%proteins 75%fats (trying to be keto) I also Workout about 5 days a weak 45min a day in the gym. I’m not doing it so long and trying to make it work. Lost 8kg and have a long way to go still. So hope I will lose way more weight and no hanging skin

Ethan
I would love to know how you are getting on with your ADFs, and your (lack of) hunger. How has it been going?
Cheers

How about big breakfast no snacks and big dinner.

That would work better for me, too. My body needs time to process a big meal.

I continued adf for 1 month until May 15, when I had to stop for Ramadan fasting. After June 15, I started it up again. I had a bad month though because I lacerated a tendon and had to have it surgically repaired on May 17. The stress of the surgery and daily dry fasting was hard on me. I still can’t lift weights, but I did start back ADF! I found it works best for me. I’m actually 5 days into my quarterly 7-day fast.
