Do you mean insulin resistant? Insulin sensitive is good. And not sure what insulin would have to do with bloating in the digestive system. I think your body may just not like something about avocados.
Avocado ideas
They seem watery to me. But Iâm from California and biased toward the Haas avocados that we had on the backyard tree.
I recently had a Hawaii avacado and it was life changingâŚif only I lived in Hawaii and could eat them daily. But, alas, Texas will do
I like my avacado with a little sea salt and balsamic vinegar (be careful!) and eaten with a spoon.
I also enjoy BL[A]T âsandwichesâ or BLTs+avacado: always with extra mayonnaise and often omitting the tomato.
Yes I meant insulin resistant, and I do have trouble with other fibrous foods such as broccoli and cabbage. Good point, my insulin resistance has nothing to do with the bloating! I do notice that bloating is not an issue when I adhere to the ketogenic diet which makes sense because I limit my fiber from carbohydratesâŚ
Indeed
I had a hunch when I read your post that it was about fibre in all vegetation, not just avocados. Perhaps have a conversation with your doctor, discuss possibilities like SIBO or IBS or similar afflictions? Did you try ZC for a couple of weeks or so, to see what happens to your gut health?
Zero carb. Our lovely mentor on this forum @amber has been quite the inspiration and rich source of information.
She was also a feature guest on 2 keto dudes podcast.
There is also a section in this website dedicated to ZC at this link.
I like to dice up an avocado into a bowl and add a few tablespoons of pico de gallo. Even got a picture⌠YUM YUM
In case you didnât know Aldi has avocados for .69 ea. Occasionally on sale for .59. We buy them by the dozen.
Do you make pico de gallo yourself or buy it in the store? BTW, this recipe looks something i could get more avocados by my better half
