Are these seed crackers a negative carb?

I am making some seed crackers and after entering the ingredients into MFP I see the carbs are lower than the fibre.

I presume the unhighlighted fibre means it needs to be subtracted from the carbs to get the net carbs? Or is the fibre already separated?

Hi Monica,

If you’re in the UK then the fibre & carbs have already been separated so that would be 8.2g carbs per serving, it threw me a few times as well when tins of things had more fibre than carbs.

I’m in Australia…and if our nutritional panels show the Fibre is within the carb listing, it needs to be taken off to get net (as it shows with this) but if it has its own listing, it’s already taken off.
So, which one does MFP show?
Prob already taken off as I don’t think anything is negative carbs!!! Pity

Oh and if it is 8.2g Carbs I will def skip these!! Not worth it. Hubby can eat them. :+1:

Try calculating each ingredients net carbs and then adding them up. When you add some in gredients together MFP can source those from different places and may get the wrong info.

Thanks, might do that! I scanned each ingredient in myself as I don’t trust a lot of the info, but will do the maths manually and see what it says. Being seeds, it will be on the higher side, I’d think.

Well, I’m astounded!! These seed crackers have no carbs (if following a net carb WOE). Happy to know.:+1:
