Apraxia research

#1

Has anyone here seen any research that either delves into the (or some of the) mechanisms of Apraxia (*including/especially in children), and more specifically, comparisons between Apraxia and other issues of the brain such as seizures or epilepsy. If there is any relation, it might strengthen the case to them, to give it a try.

Now, the platinum prize here would be any research that indicates either an efficacy in treatment of Apraxia with either exogenous ketones or ketogenic diet.

I’d like to see my sister help her family out by getting them into a ketogenic WOE, but I think the only thing that has a shot at this happening is for her to either see a chance to help her son with apraxia, or when one of them pops diabetic.

This family has the problem of being tall, and thin, at least when young (and you can look at the older ones and spot the TOFI, but that doesn’t really compute for them, they just seem to think its normal to get a huge belly when you hit 35).

My 5yr old daughter has Apraxia of speech…I would love to get some info as well! In my research the closest I’ve found is a protocol that is heavily based on the Paleo diet with some caveats at:

noharmfoundation.org

When you delve into the science behind this protocol (on their website) it’s very eye opening in revealing the cause of all disorders on the Autistic spectrum and that there is a remedy through diet! The protocol is free to download and very simple to follow even for a non-Ketoer.
