Yesterday was my first day of ACV. Was fasting till 4:30 pm. 2 Tablespoons at maybe 7 am. Hunger seemed less but that might be placebo.
Wegmans has their own brand. Organic, unfiltered with the mother. I like it.
I’m not sure if there is a benefit to talking acv on an empty stomach if you’re not eating right away. It’s been shown to reduce insulin/glucose response if taken before a high carb meal.
It may help to reduce triglycerides and ldl cholesterol in the blood if taken regularly. Human study I found was done with 2Tbsp twice a day, I believe morning and night. Don’t remember it saying empty stomach or not.
It helps keep an acidic pH in the stomach which helps to eliminate acid reflux and heartburn.
While all the benefits seems to be accredited to acv the main active ingredient/component is acetic acid which is common to all vinegar. The “mother” is supposed to be a good prebiotic for a healthy gut biom. Balsamic can be sweeter and so higher carb count 4x the sugar per serving, based on what I’ve got in the cupboard.
