Anyone else needing to eliminate foods out of their diet?

I don’t doubt people can have a passion for cheese & even feel it’s addictive (I’m a big fan of it) but for future reference I know vegans that think Barnard is a hack & a propagandist. Might be worth finding a better source of information - I’m sure they’re out there.

Congrats on the first 24 hours & good luck

You can put multiple quotes in a single post. Just scroll up & quote as you would for a single one :slightly_smiling_face:

Funny enough, I love the smell of coffee. Hate the taste. Never could drink it.

#64

Same here. Like the smell, but think coffee just tastes like dirty water. Dirty bitter water. No BPC for me, thanks (unless by ‘C’ you mean cacao, which is actually not a bad drink for an occasional treat).

I know for me, I will start off a cheat with a pint of milk, the next day a quart and before the week is finished I am buying it by the gallon! Once I started keto and learned how much sugar is in milk, I thought I understood the problem. However, the same thing happens with mild cheddar cheese slices. I stalled on keto because I couldnt give up dairy and have been mostly off keto for the past six months (gained a bunch of weight back…binging on carbs). So, I hope I can come to terms that dairy is not good for me. Dairy is a gateway drug for me.

I just discovered that a cannister of “Organic Stevia” that I had an horrendous reaction to contains 99.1% “organic erythritol”. My guess is it ain’t organic and it’s sourced from GMO corn heavily laden in pesticides.

I’m working on my savoury taste buds. They are perking up well.

Histamine intolerant here :v: Symptoms are much lighter than before, but my body still makes sure to let me know when I cross the limits

Kimberly to clarify
The person who wrote the article is a vegetarian. Their discussion is on whether or not dairy should be consumed. But the agenda is more about the animals than about the people who might be injured by consuming dairy. I’m not a vegetarian, although if it were possible to be healthy, and lose weight by being vegetarian I might choose that lifestyle. Vegetables are delicious colorful and crunchy. I miss color and crunch. :smirk:

I too have to limit them to a few per week. When,i eat them my body seems to like whats in them. My naiils always grow after, but when i eat them i feel ill.
[/quote] (Regarding eggs)

Just curious, do you get the same feeling with all eggs? Chicken or duck? Or even chicken from different sources?

I’m kinda spoiled in that I’ve been getting my eggs from an Amish family a few miles down the road and their chickens are out on pasture, and I don’t mean a small pasture. They live a darned good chicken life. But I really like the taste and texture of their eggs. There are times when I’ll be eating at someone else’s house or out at a restaurant or times like then when I’ll have just regular commercially grown eggs and will get a sort of queezy feeling when I eat them. They sometimes even smell just a bit of “wet feathers”. I know, that probably sounds weird, but my sniffer is a little odd sometimes.

Anyway, I wasn’t trying to argue, not at all. But I was just curious whether it was all eggs or just specific ones or from specific places.

Tbh i can only afford the regualr eggs at any given store that has them cheaper than dirt.

And i have never wanted to taste any ogher eggs besides chickens

I hate the smell, and they make me feel ill. So havent really wanted to veture out and try a bunch of kinds you know. But i had one today. Put hot sauce on it so i couldnt taste it.

(Brian) #71

That’s fair enough, Kim. I just wondered. I know there is a lot of variation in what’s available and the cost depending on where one happens to be located.

Maybe someday you’ll be able to try other variations just to satisfy the curiosity.

Cheese is not more addictive (to me) than many high carb foods, like ice cream. I like cheese, but I don’t want more of it after eating it. Ice cream, by contrast, I can’t eat just a little.
