Any one been on the cornerstone wellness program. My Endo is recommending that I should go on that as he feels Ketogenic diet is bit extreme to start with for a Type 2 ?

Can you post a link to the cornerstone wellness diet program? I just googled it and got a wellness studio that offers palm readings, acupuncture and massages, as well as diet advice. Not sure if this is the same one.

Call me cynical, but I question any medical recommendation which makes the recommending medical professional extra cash.

I just looked it up and it’s basically soylent. You have meal replacement powders and supplements. It’s basically Slim Fast. How on earth is a diet of processed milkshakes somehow LESS extreme than just eating real whole food that doesn’t spike your blood sugar?

Call me extreme then, I have been able to come off of all insulin since I started Keto lost 48 lbs and 5 inches around my waist Just checked my BG and it was an 80. 5 months ago I never saw it below 100

Keto is extreme but meal replacement drinks are less extreme?
Time for a new endo?
Sounds like he is trying to put you on a very low calorie Newcastle Diet to bring your blood sugar down.
It has had some success but no real follow up as to efficacy. There is currently a large study being done in the UK but results will not be published until 2018.

Look. My endo said I should be eating a third of a baguette with every meal. Sometimes they just plain get it wrong. Go with your gut and be your own healer/specialist.

I just started it today. You use 2 shakes a day with meals. The shakes are high in protein. You have one with breakfast and one with lunch. You have it with a meal. The shakes are very filling and then you add a meal to it. Which has been hard for me because I do not eat enough. So for me to have a shake with a meal seemed a better option so I can get in what I’m supposed to eat without eating a lot. The shakes are not in place of a meal. They go with the meal.
