Is this a generic link or a referral link? The system is flagging it.

I don’t know much about Sous Vide cooking, but I’ll just point out that they come in different wattages, so if/when you buy one, make sure it has the power to do what you want to do.

Does anyone with Sous Vide experience have any recommendations on wattages and the pros/cons of higher and lower?

For example, at what point is the 800 watt version in the link not sufficient? In other words, what’s the most meat you can cook at one time with an 800 watt Sous Vide?

Although I’m currently the only one in a family of 5 eating keto, many of the meats I make are shared by the family, so as an example I would use it to make a chuck roast that would feed 5 people with leftovers which usually comes out to 3-4 lbs (1.4-1.8 kg).

Mine is 800 and has no issues with a roast. I have seen some people do many cuts at once. Not sure what wattage they are using.

FYI, the Gourmia sous vide immersion stick is very good.
They now have a wifi version as well.

250 euros for the same unit here in Germany  That’s 268 USD. Think I will wait for it to come down.

I believe that 800 watt one can do up to a 5 gallon bucket. I think the 900 just had wifi as well.

we have the Anova and it works well.

Also, always at a great price and very capable is the Gourmia Sous Vide. Two versions below, 1200 watts for both compared to 900 Anova:
