Another idiotic article

…that claims we are idiots.

Always follow the money.

I couldn’t even get through it. And scrolling through a few of the comments nearly made me sick to the stomach.

Bunch of idiots… Uugh!!!

(Michelle) #4

The author never even mentioned insulin. Which is the Achilles heel of diabetes and what we are often trying to avoid or reverse. Horrible horrible article.

(Alec) #5

Author is a sugar industry apologist. Just review his list of articles by clicking on his name at the top. Every single one is saying sugar ain’t a problem.

He also seems highly ignorant. But he’s trying his best with poor material folks. :joy::joy::joy:

(bulkbiker) #6

Don’t forget his support for the tobacco industry too… I think he supports whoever pays him… and he’s an misinformed idiot…

Time to trot out that phrase of Upton Sinclair’s again (I love it so much):

It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.

“It must be considered that there is nothing more difficult to carry out nor more doubtful of success nor more dangerous to handle than to initiate a new order of things; for the reformer has enemies in all those who profit by the old order, and only lukewarm defenders in all those who would profit by the new order; this lukewarmness arising partly from the incredulity of mankind who does not truly believe in anything new until they actually have experience of it.”
–Machiavelli

Excellent quotation. Thanks for sharing!

(KetoQ) #10

A problem with articles of this ilk and the “journalists” who write them, is that they only bring a very high level, superfluous understanding to the table. This is very nuanced stuff, and nearly all of these people lack it in spades. Especially this guy Snowdon. He’s the last guy who should be writing pieces on nutrition. From what I gather, he seems like the type who would put his head in the oven and light a match if they took away his beer and cigarettes. Zero journalistic credibility. Off the charts entertainment value.

Looks as though Mr. Snowdon could benefit from a well-formulated ketogenic diet:

I think it’s clear why he thinks LCHF is bogus—same reasons an active alcoholic usually thinks A.A. is shite.
