Love my $3.99 breath meter as well!

I’ve experienced some frustration and concern if some thing has knocked me out of ketosis or how long after a cheat meal I’d be back into ketosis. I’ve actually found a painless as well as affordable way to measure my blood ketones, There two devices I use. I follow this article here.

Excellent article, beyond my needs but helps to calm down my addiction to reading ketones. For myself the most efficient monitoring device is the taste of acetone in my mouth.

(What The Fast?!) #25

FWIW, I test my ketones all the time - and use all three methods to do so. I get deep into ketosis when extended fasting and stay there for several days after…and my weight is extremely stubborn…so if you’re looking for an anecdotal story to support this article, there you have it. I recently realized that if my ketones are always so high, it may just be that my body is extremely inefficient at using them (even a year into keto).
