They still have plenty of corn, lol

Nope. Corn was devastated this year.

I could care less if both never produced a crop again. . I haven’t had a french fry in I can’t even remember. Ditto, corn on the cob.

Well, as Dave Asprey has pointed out, potatoes are also notorious for harboring mold and there are more than 20 things you need to do to store them properly to avoid introducing new toxins as they age, especially mycotoxins. They’re really a high-risk food (unlike sweet potatoes, for those who are 100% fat-adapted and able to do the pre-maintenance level of carbs) - even before they’re fried in nasty oils!

White potatoes and Yukon Golds used to be my main emotional food though. Huge bowls of gourmet potato salad in summer. “Chips” with fried fish or without, with curry gravy or just malt vinegar. Salt n’ vinegar potato chips.

Good to know they’re both toxic and short in supply - their introduction as a crop in Ireland (to feed the peasants while all the nutrient-dense food went to the Anglo-Irish and English) wreaked a catastrophically manmade famine once the potato crops were blighted, one which had epigenetic impacts that still go on.

It’s only a possible French Fry shortage,

If they get all the French fries and chop them in two halves there will be enough for everybody.

Accountants rule the world.
