I’ve been losing weight steadily for the past 3 weeks but this week I stepped on the scale and it reads that I’ve gained 3 pounds. The day before I weighed myself I drank some water during a time I couldn’t eat and had to slow my hunger down until I got home. I think I drank too much and this may have contributed to my weight gain. My macros are 137 F/ 58 P/ 19 C with 1544 calories. I’m 5’8 and currently weigh 188 lbs. Is this increase in weight normal? I’ve heard of a ‘whoosh effect’ but I’m not sure if it applies. Also, it may be important to mention that it’s my time of the month next week.
Am I doing everything alright?

Completely normal to be up and down, and that time of the month causes water retention.

You’re doing great as Shortstuff said. Just make sure you don’t restrict your water intake based on scale #'s.

The whoosh has nothing to do with what you have mentioned.
The whoosh can be clearly explained here > http://100down.org/the-whoosh-effect/
