Almost 4 months

I have been on keto almost4 months . A couple things I have noticed , the main thing is weight loss as of today 60 lbs, the next is I have trouble falling asleep and can’t take a snooze anymore . Also some food I loved I can’t stand the taste of , the main one being sausage , and very picky about cheese where I used to love all cheese , but the cheese pizza crust I can’t stand , and were eggs were ok and same with cauliflower I am
In love with them. Just wondering if everyone else going thru this

Yep. I can’t look at a steak anymore and bacon makes me feel sick. Night time sleeping is usually an issue for beginners. When I absolutely need a good night’s sleep I save my carb allowance for the day and eat it 1 hour before bed. The carbs act like a sleeping pill.

What are you doing keto for? Weight loss? If that’s the only reason then why not take a break? Have a month off and enjoy the foods you’ve been missing out on. Don’t go crazy of course and still eat clean. Personally I can’t sustain a keto diet for more than 3 months due to the restrictive food and lack of muscular performance in the gym. When I have a break and get back onto the keto bus the fat loss really kicks back in fast. Alot of people I know use a break to break through plateaus.

I used to be a napper, but now I don’t very often. Also, I cycle through different tastes. It seems like if I don’t eat something I’m sick of for months, I can try them again later and find them enjoyable.

Congratulations on your loss so far, great job!

It started off as weight loss but now I just like it. I never was a pasta eater so really I would be having steak or hamburgers anyway just would have potatoes or frenchnfries wirh them were I am eating more veggies and enjoying them more

Congrats on dropping 60 pounds.

I have this problem when I stay up late a few nights in a row then try to go back to my regularly scheduled bedtime. What helps me is an oscillating fan. The gentle pink noise drowns out all other sounds like pounding feet on the floor above, a barking dog next door etc. The cool air also helps. I find that if I am hot and sweaty, sleep is near impossible. When I get to the point where I want to wrap up under my blanket, I know sleep is not far off.

Exactly the same for me!

Agreed! We like it very cold in our bedroom, winter and summer. Nothing as comforting as snuggling up under the blankets.

Never had problems sleeping before . My house has air or ceiling fan or windows so heats not the problem , tried fan before but did nothing just feel more pumped up I guess andnot ready for sleep

Ive been on Keto for 2 months now and not seen any real weight loss, however Im not super heavy I could probably stand to lose about 10 pounds. I did an egg fast last week and lost about 3 pounds that was amazing. but overall tired of the no weight loss.

Wow, kickass! (cue Cartman. How I wish there were a Cartman emoticon)

Yep I have had the things-taste-different thing. Opposite to you, I never cared about cheese now adore it, and things like red peppers taste sweet as heck now, just two examples.

Love cartman, I always loved orange peppers but when you read the vegetable carb info . Green 3 carbs red 4 orange 5
