Almond Milk - Yay or Nay

#21

In Australia we can get a mix of almond and coconut milk which has very few carbs (1 per 100 gm) and is more flavorful than the straight almond milk.
I use it in tea and coffee, and it is also excellent to soak chia seeds for making a chia pod for brekky, along with some coconut flakes, a few berries and some pepitas. Topped with coconut yoghurt - bliss!!!

I drink the unsweetened vanilla one and enjoy the coconut blend one.

Here is my test of it

Loved the how would you milk a nut. I make my own. You just soak almonds overnight then blend them with high speed blender for 4-5 minutes. Strain. There is nothing unhealthy going on, at least not when you make your own. If you use cashew nuts you don’t have to strain. I don’d drink it straight but it’s great for some things.

This reminds me of the scene in the TV Show The Ranch. Old time rancher Sam Elliot sees almond milk in his fridge and asks where are the teats on an almond? LOL
