Accompaniments for salmon pate

#1

I absolutely love salmon pate and am definitely craving the saltiness at the moment (6-8 weeks in) but am struggling to come up with ideas of what to eat it with. I’ve tried cucumber rings and pepper sticks (although a little high carb) as well as adding it to sliced meats as a roll-up. What other suggestions do people have so that I can vary it a bit more?

Pickles/cornichon, Koop’s stone ground mustard, Parmesan/Cheddar crisps, anchovies, herring, salted nuts

Make low carb crackers. I like the almond flour based ones best. Here is a good starter recipe, you can tweak it with sesame seeds, flax seeds etc. There a lot of recipes out there for keto/lchf/paleo crackers, just google them and you will get tons of ideas.

Parmesan crisps. I get a big bag of grated Parmesan from Costco. Line a pan with parchment, then drop piles (a five-finger pinch) and bake @375F until crispy, about 10-12 min. Great with salmon, liverwurst, guacamole, whatever…

I do pate with butter. 50/50 on a small plate and eat it with a teaspoon. Bloomin gorgeous!
