I belong in keto jail… Hubby doesn’t clean the grill.
A sad day
Thank you for your kind words. We had a moment is silence over our Angus burgers… Luckily we had them in the freezer. Needed beef to go with the onions and mushrooms.
They were un-save-able. The only saving grace; at least they were on sale (still $20 worth of meat).

Danielle, what am I missing, here - “doesn’t clean the grill”? The steaks look well-done, but to my eyes, not all that bad.
@matt; you are very correct.

Good analysis, Matt.
Flame-broiling dept: might have scraped that second one from the right a bit, but would have gnawed on 'em all.
Clean BBQ Disposable Aluminum Grill Liner (Edited to remove the link to a site)
These are what I use especially if we got to a park, but they work great for home and a dirty grill or to keep it clean. LOVE THEM.
Next time there is a flare up, shut the lid of the grill, and try to seal all air inlets. This way you starve and snuff out the fire. It seems counter-intuitive at the moment, and people usually start fanning the flames away, but actually start creating even more air currents feeding into the fire, making the fire even stronger.
No oxygen means no more fire. And that will save your steaks in a jiffy.
Hope this helps.
Just be sure to let it settle down and cool off a bit before you go opening the vents or lid! Rapid air to the now rich mixture might result in lost eyebrows.
