A major milestone among many mini-milestones!

Just a quick recap:

Started eating Keto in early May 2016. My weight was at that time 372 pounds. Nerve pain from spine issues were not getting better. I did not sleep well and the mid-afternoon crash basically would take me out for the rest of the day. BP was also in near stroke range (175/90).

Today:

I weigh 8 pounds less then the weight listed on my drivers license. I cheated when I got it renewed and listed it to be 20 pounds less then I weighed at the time.

I weigh 3 pounds less then the day I graduated high school 32 years ago.

I can tie my fucking shoes while squatting down and not pass out!

I wear my shirts tucked in my jeans and it looks reasonable good.

I need smaller shirts. (and pants!)

Mid-afternoon naps are a thing of the past (unless I want one.)

BP 130/70.

My nerve pain from my spine has dwindled to an annoyance level and has not required my annual intervention from the (witch) doctor. (long needles, steroids, radio frequency to kill off sensing nerves.)

I have excess energy that requires I go for mid-day walks away from my desk and the occasional deep knee bends to keep me from jumping out of my skin.

I eat when I am hungry and stop when I am full. Sugar (glucose and associated sweeteners) no longer rule my world.

And:

Today the scale read 272 pounds. 100 pounds gone!

I may not post a ton here but the information on the Ketogenic forums and the 2KetoDudes Podcast (and the now defunct FB group) has been invaluable to me as a resource.

KCKO!

Super awesome! It’s amazing to think we with some simple food changes, no subscription fees, nothing to buy but butter and bacon! Being able to overcome all the health issues and be happy about it!
