A lot of Calories

calories

Hi

I’ve calculated my macros and have a summary of what I should eat. According to this I have to eat something like 1728 - this like a lot of food. Do you think this is right?

Today I’ve had:

Breakfast
2 egg frittata with some cheese and herbs - 200 calories (approx)

Lunch
Persian Minced beef (100g) with onions and spices served w/ lettuce - 320 calories (approx)

Dinner
Burger, half avocado, 2 oz cheese, lettuce, spinach and a fried egg - 695 calories (approx)

That’s a total of 1215. To achieve 1728 I’d need to eat 500 (approx) more calories. I’m stuffed, so that would be difficult. Do you think 1728 is right?

Not focusing on the amount protein etc yet.

Thanks,

Don’t focus on calories right now. Eat until you’re full, then stop and don’t eat again until you’re hungry. When you’re hungry, don’t restrict calories. Listen to what your body’s telling you.

It looks like you could easily up your fat intake without a big increase in volume. Sour cream, more cheese, cream in coffee or tea. Liberal fat when cooking, steamed vegetables with butter. Or a drizzling with olive oil on that frittata for instance. You need to make the majority of your calories from fats.

Generally speaking, this is a HORMONE control diet rather than a CALORIE control diet. (“Diet” being used to mean “the kinds of food that a person, animal, or community habitually eats” rather than society’s current usage of “short-term fad eating pattern.”)
