A large shirt! Not an XL!

(Dave Corbett) #1

I ordered a Large shirt as a “goal shirt”. I had just gotten rid of a bunch of 2XL shirts and thought I’d set a new NSV goal for myself. So I ordered a Large and thought that would help motivate me a little more.

It arrived today and I figured I’d try it on to see how much I’d need to lose.

Lo and behold! It fits! I doubt I’ll ever fit into a Medium shirt, but a Large with a little extra room is just fine with me.

Down 45 lbs and heading towards 50!

Congrats and welcome to the club! Once I put on my first Large tshirt in decades my first thought was ‘Never Looking Back!’

Well done!! I myself tried on an older 2X shirt tonight (4X has been my standard) and to my amazement (and my wife’s as well) it fits!! Now I know how good you feel, and am happy for you!

Nice I’m down to XL from 3XL, but in trousers I’m down from size 48 to size 32.

I started at 46…Can’t wait till I get to a 32. That’s 7 pant sizes @Richard.

Will be hard to put your barrel chest in a medium.

Large manly chests are manly.

I needed a large shirt when my BMI was 20.

(Dave Corbett) #13

Yeah, agreed! I also have long ape-arms and smaller shirts have sleeves that are too short!

Still working on the belly fat. I figure fat is mainly First-in-last-out so that will be the last to go.

(CharleyD) #14

Visceral fat will go first, but there’s a reason they call subcutaneous fat around the belly and love handles ‘stubborn.’

(Dave Corbett) #15

My fat is stubborn because it has my DNA :laughing::laughing:

Haha, very well, then in some cases the only remedy is to outlive them!
