I started going keto on July 13, after getting back from a two-week vacation to the UK. When I started, I was 225 (6’0"). I play ice hockey twice a week (one game skating out, one game as goalie), but otherwise spend most of my time sitting in front of a computer in my day job. I told myself I’d hit keto hard until my birthday, and then reevaluate.
Well, it’s my birthday. I haven’t changed anything about my lifestyle aside from the diet. I’m down 28 pounds as of today (197). I’m enjoying the food a ton. And I can really feel the difference in my endurance. When skating out, I would get tired after about a minute or so on the ice. Now, I can go 3-4 minutes (a long time in hockey) without feeling exhausted. When playing goalie, I was dead by the end of the first period. Now I get to the end of the game and am like “you know, I could probably play another game right now.”
Measuring butt, waist, gut, and chest, I’ve lost 12" off my body in this eight weeks:
- Butt: 43" -> 41.5"
- Waist: 40" -> 37.5"
- Gut: 43.5" -> 38.5"
- Chest: 42" -> 39"
So yeah, after making it to my self-imposed reflection point, I think I’m going to keep it going!
birthday!!! You must be really happy with the results so far, and more importantly with the way you are feeling!! That’s great, happy for you!!
