70/30 For the WIN!

hamburger

No problem, it may differ slightly state to state, but I get it consistently every week there! Michigan though!

Office is in Novi/Wixom. Aldi’s is 2 miles away, right by the highway entry ramp.

(Ashley) #43

Sweet deal! Hope that have it at yours, it’s one of the only places I can find 70/30 and cheapest.

(Joe) #44

just cooked up a batch of this today. Threw it in the fridge and it will be lunch and dinner with various combinations of other deliciousness! I grabbed it while on a diaper run cuz I knew my wife wouldnt.

73/27 was all they had. But I’ll look at others in the area to see if I can find the elusive 70/30 pack. Although, I do like that they sell it in a 5 lb normal package instead of a tube.

(Ashley) #46

Dang, I just checked mine, mines definetly 70/30. But I like the packages it’s easier to handle.

(Lonnie Hedley) #47

I like that I can see what’s happening inside the package.

(Ashley) #48

Exactly, next time I go I’ll have to recheck and see if it’s always 70/30 it has been for the month I been shopping there, but I was told apparently they change everything weekly to monthly depending on the product, but it’s one of my go to keto stores because they have a wide variety of meats and cheeses and usually their stuff is cheaper and it sometimes there’s new surprises.

If anyone eats a lot of eggs like I do, I get a huge box from Walmart for like $3 for 5 dozen eggs, not the best selection of eggs but I’m on a budget.

I swung by aldis today, apparently the hamburger I been getting isn’t their usual. So doubtful you’ll find any, or if you manage it won’t be for long. Major bummer when the lady told me. Still lots of yummy food there though! Went in for one thing and came out with like 15.

(Lonnie Hedley) #51

Bummer. Guess I’ll have to stick to 73/27 for now. Currently I’m working on a package from Meijer. For some reason, their 73/27 is tough compared to what I get at Kroger. I can tell a difference in color too. The one from Meijer is bright red where the Kroger one is more pink which makes me think even though they’re both labeled 73/27, the Kroger one has more fat.

(Ashley) #52

Huh that’s mighty weird, especially considering their both the same percent.

(Carolus Holman) #53

More FAT Yassss! I made a weeks worth of Burgers, they taste so luch like a good rich steak, it’s uncanny. Since I had so much burger I precooked them, the fat content seems to decrease after reheating, but fresh of the grill they are awesome.

I measure out 112 grams into freezer bags when I buy 3-5 lb tubes. Eat a package every day so they don’t stay in the freezer long. Keeps it nice and juicy.
