4 weeks in, great energy, still nauseous

#1

Hello! So grateful to have found this forum. I have been in ketosis for 4 weeks now and been pretty consistently nauseous the whole time. It feels different than the initial first week that included the fatigue, dizziness, etc associated with keto flu. My energy is great, my mind feels way clearer, I’m not dizzy or ill in any way but I feel nauseous most of the day and sometimes it wakes me up in the middle of the night. I’ve experimented with eating only 2 large meals, 3 meals with snacks and 6 smaller meals and while I feel better eating less in each sitting, the bellyaches persist. I’m loading up with water, broth, electrolytes and only eating good fats. It feels like my body is unable to adjust to digesting so much fat even though I feel like it has adjusted to using fat for energy. I gave up keto when I tried it last year after a month with these same issues and I don’t want to give up because my mind is so sharp, my complexion is clearer than it has been in months and my energy is good. I haven’t gone over 25 net carbs a day, no cheat days at all. Any tips?

Is this a real feeling that you’re going to upchuck, or is it more a sense of your gorge rising when you think about food?

Are you eating enough protein and carbs, then fat to satiety?

Would be helpful if you list a typical day’s meals.

Are you eating foods with artificial sweeteners in them?

There was another thread about this and sodium is what helped. The thread is called “Super Nauseous 2 weeks in - quick fixes?” if you want to search for it. I can’t figure out how to link it.

I had this at the beginning. Bone broth made it worse for me

Can you reduce fat? Try fasting for a day and see what happens?
