so far so good

my tg/hdl ratio went down from 3 to 2.6 ( following mg/dcl units)

while tg floating around the same number hdl went up quite good

I think vitamin d and the electrolites minerals should not be ignored when carnivoring

Interesting. Im thinking of trying carnivore. Been keto for over four years. Have had huge benefits but stalled on weight for well over a year. Im a LMHR with “high” cholesterol. Ill be interested to see what happens with that. After experiencing how doctors react to keto and LMHR cholesterol numbers. I can only imagine how they react to carnivore.

If you’re an LMHR, carnivore won’t change that. I’d expect you’ll get similar, the same, or “worse” results.

What I would do is before you get a blood test for “cholesterol”, eat carbs for at least 4 days beforehand. That should help. Like this:

I think carnivore is good to try if you’re still having some issues, as these might be from plants. It’s a great reset for some, although you have to figure out what “carnivore” means to you (some plants like coffee/tea? dairy or not? etc.).

And, of course, if you’re concerned about “high” cholesterol, then you’ll have to decide what you want to do.

I never discuss what I eat with any of my doctors and they rarely ask because it is outside their circle of concern unless they are a cardiologist and they have been brainwashed.

One PA asked me if I “ate a healthy diet” and I said “Yes” and she moved on. LOL. If pressed I would say I eat a minimal amount of processed foods, vegetables and no sugar. I don’t mention “carbs”.

I am changing my PCP this year to one that is closer and easier to get an appointment with and also has a good local reputation. Will see if she mentions my “high” cholesterol (~250) even though my ratios are good since my HDL is high and trigs are low. CAC scan a few years was 0 on all 3 arteries.
