I have been successfully doing Keto for 4 months now and while the weight loss has been slow, I can say that I am officially down 15lbs.
I still feel like Im a newby, but I find myself speaking the keto graces to anyone who starts to discuss diets or wanting to improve their health (but i try not to be THAT person who just drones on and on about their particular lifestyle). I am proud of my progress, Im proud of my choice to do keto, and Ive been very happy as a result. I received a lot of positive reinforcement from some biometric screening blood test results that showed EXTREMELY low triglyceride levels (the nurse actually made a comment about how awesome my numbers were).
Ive also been training for my second triathlon but the main difference this year is that Ill be doing it in a state of ketosis. No sugar drinks, no sugar gels! Ill be eating a fat packed avocado brownie before the race and make my ketoaid plus some MCT powder as a boost! My tri is a little over a month away and Im excited! It will be a new experience to do it on keto, but Im proud to do a humble brag about it afterwards!
My husband wasnt really doing keto with me initially, but he has seen how happy Ive been and seen my success so he has also started to make low carb choices! He isnt as strict as I am by a long shot, but it feels cool that he is participating more with me.
