3 day of Keto and using Strips

I have been accurate with the macros, and I feel like i def have the keto flu…i have been using the strips but they still show negative! Am I doing something wrong?

Depends… What are you eating ? Do you exercise ?glucose will go first. Then clycergen then your in ketosis. This can take a week for your body to do. Then you’ll be expelling lost of ketones for a month to two months before your fat adapted and your body naturally uses ketones as it’s source of fuel. If you cheat in the first couple of months you may find it will take your body another week to get back into ketosis … Once your fat adapted it may only take a few hours

I have not exercised yet, to be honest i have felt weak after the first day. Today I might try to. Will it help? I am using a meal service for the first week that does keto plans, plenty of fatty meats, egs, not much vegetables. Carbs are 20, 22. 24 for the 3 days.

Some strips can be defective. Drinking some ketoaid will help rebalance the electrolytes and with the keto flu symptoms. I have yet to exercise (2 months in) and I am feeling great. Hang in there. :slight_smile:

I just dotnt to keep eating so much fat and then never get into ketosis hahah and i end up gaining 20 pounds!

Can you tell im a newbie!

Just keep at it. Do what you can to fight the symptoms as mentioned above. I am about a month in and minimal losses but my ketone test strips are lit up like a Christmas tree and I still feel run down and lethargic. Now I know why people say once you get past this, don’t cheat. I do not want to go through this part again. It might seem pointless or too much at times but struggle through it.
