3.5 weeks in & feeling high

#1

I’m sure I’ve not reached ketosis yet as I’ve only started this new WOE on 28th May but feel ridiculously high after having a BP coffee 6 hours ago followed by my weekly hiit class (hours ago now).
I’ve not felt hungry since, been having plenty of water but feel like I’m high on something.
Is this normal? Kinda like it but kinda freaked out too!

Yeah that’s normal… Enjoy!

(Danielle ) #3

That’s it! Now you see why we love it!

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #4

SHHHH!! Don’t tell—they’ll make it illegal! :bacon:

#5

Sweet!

#6

I do! I do!

I’m sure you have reached ketosis. That only takes a matter of days if you stay under 20g carbs.

It’s fat adaption you haven’t reached yet. That takes 6-8 weeks typically.

(Alec) #8

It absolutely is. This is what fat burning feels like! As Paul said, please don’t tell anyone or they will start taxing us.

When you get used to this high, the next one for you might be in fasting…

(Pete A) #9

I’m still high ten months in. No likey? :grinning:

(Raj Seth) #10

What they gonna do ? Drug screen you for ketones??
I’m good with the fasting and Keto high. Don’t even have to go to CO or WA to have it legally😀

#11

Niiiiiiiiiiiccceeeee!

#12

I think I’ll start with an IF Thursday to Saturday:thinking:

#13

Ah okay. I’ve been strict on keeping the carbs to 20 or less…
Thanks for clarifying @Anniegirl9 :raised_hands:

#14

Brilliant! You made me laugh out loud. Thank you!!!

(Randy) #15

This is your new “normal”. You’ll get used to it.
I felt the same way early on. My take on it as time went by is not that I felt high, but that the dullness I had grown accustomed to had worn off.

Brain fog, lethargy, body aches and listlessness had been my “normal” for so long that the changes that happened by lowering insulin made me feel supercharged.

It’s strange but good not to feel tired & hungry all the time. Loving this new way of being.
