24 hour fast - falling back into ketosis after cheating :P

Ugh, just finished a 24 hour fast. Ended it with some homemade meatballs, broccoli, and salad… I was dying at lunch time today, my friends were eating cheesecake in front of me!!! XD

I wanted to work out but my schedule didn’t really permit me to eat after my workout (food for the kids) so I ate as well. But, what is the minimum time I should wait before exercising again?

I know that digestion takes a lot of energy and working out can cause a sympathetic response redirecting that energy away and shut down the parasympathetic functions, So I’d like to avoid doing that :stuck_out_tongue:

You probably would have been best working out fasted… maybe wait for the food to “go through” if you are worried although I’m not sure I understand what you are worried about?

Its nothing i just know from anatomy that digestion uses a huge portion of the bodies energy and if you raise cortisol by stressing the body the body will restrict energy for digestion which can give you an upset stomach.

Plus you wont be able to work out as effectivly after eating. But i tried anyways lol
