Daisy's latest extraordinary man, Mark, talks about how he won a personal battle with depression, weight, and gluten intolerance that started over a decade ago.

Having been through a personal battle with depression, weight and gluten intolerance that started over a decade ago, Mark has now been in ketosis for the last four years. On his journey to improve his health, he’s learnt a lot about himself, what works and why. Mark has been able to stop taking prescription medications for depression and blood pressure and has lost over 8 stone.

He now runs a group called Real Food Your Way, which provides support for people who want to improve their health by improving what they eat. Shared experiences provide hope and encouragement for those who feel trapped by the modern world of junk and convenience food that is designed to lure you in and keep you wanting more, regardless of the impact on your physical health and mental well-being. Members of the group have successfully put Type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes into remission as well as resolving issues with compulsive eating. There’s been a fair amount of weight loss as well!

When he’s not extolling the virtues of a low-carb lifestyle, Mark is also a qualified football coach and referee. He lives in Essex with his (long-suffering) partner, stepson and two cats.

Mark is a PHC Ambassador.
