2 weeks in and heartburn/acid/nausea needs fixing!

#1

Hi, I am new here. My hubby and I started keto diet 2 weeks ago. Hubby is pleased I’m sticking with it as it’s a totally alien way of eating for me. I’ve spent last 30+ years yo yo low fat dieting!
It took me from May to 2 weeks ago to lose 8lb with low fat and 2 weeks to lose 11lb with keto
I’m not miserable and cranky either!
My issue is with heartburn/acid/nausea. I had gallbladder removed 4 years ago, could this be the problem? The good thing is that it definitely curbs my appetite as I’m struggling to eat! But I’d love some help with it.
I love this woe. My sugar cravings have pretty much disappeared (except for fruit which I’m not having as yet) My weight is heading in right direction (this will take a long time as I have over 3 stone still to lose)
Thank you
Karen

Welcome to keto and to the forums!

Even though you no longer have a gall bladder, your body is still secreting bile—just not storing it in quantity anymore. Try eating smaller portions and more meals, so as to space out the arrival of the fat in your digestive system. That seems to help some people, while others find they don’t need to worry about it. Just do whatever works for you.
