🙋🏻1.6-3 Keto blood level - no weight loss. Any hints/tips?

#1

hey guys! any ideas or tips?

I’ve been doing keto for 3 weeks.

Blood levels
Started at a .1 keto blood range and within 2 days was in slight keto .6. I got to 1.5 two days later and dropped 3 pounds. For the past 2 weeks I have been between 1.6 and 3.0, averaging 2 keto blood levels and haven’t lost any weight (I have tested at different times each day - in the am, mid afternoon and evening so I am sure the levels are accurate).

Tracking food using the cronometer app. An average day was 1850 calories consumed, 1930 burned. 44g protein, 28g carbs, 166g fat. I dropped my carbs and calories to 1347 and carbs to 11g. 3 days later still no weight loss. (Swinging up and down daily with a 1/2 lb). What gives? Any tips/ suggestions welcome!!!

Post induction stall syndrome. You will not see linear results every week. You need to keep doing what you are doing and wait for 3 more weeks.

44g protein? Why so low? I would suggest more protein, no calorie restriction, carbs below 20g and patience.

^^^ what she said.

Throw me in 3rd place for this! If you’re burning almost 2k cals/day then don’t eat 1300, that’s too much of a deficit and if you keep it up you’ll pay the price for it. 3 weeks in is WAY too early to decide somethings not working. If you’re iffy about your diet list a day or two sample menu and we can look at that, I’ll also second not being afraid of protein.

Thank you all for the tips/help! Glad I didn’t give up today.

Ketones mean you are burning fat, but they don’t tell you if the fat you are burning is coming from the fat you eat or the fat on your body. Maybe you are getting too much dietary fat?

Maybe try increasing your protein and bit and lowering your fat a bit.

My pee strips show 4.0 almost every day. Meanwhile, I’ve been bouncing around the same 7 pounds for several weeks. I could get frustrated, but the big picture is that I’ve lost 20 pounds in 17 weeks. So I suggest–patience! I know it’s hard, believe me.

I hope you start to see some good results soon!
