I appreciate the inclusive sentiment of this 4H presentation at the Livestock area of the San Mateo County Fair… but we all know the headline that would have won 1st place…
Pigs… MOSTLY for Bacon (but if you need a heart valve replacement, they are pretty handy too!)
The guys on show definitely made me want them treated better than mainstream hog farming though. Must look into more ethical bacon!
This is something we definitely need to ban!! Damn pigs are lean enough without making them exercise competitively!! (Zoomed in to show… it’s Pig Racing!! - not sure if they are greased or not!
