Been keto since July 2016, and lost a good amount of weight and improved all the right health markers. While I still have more to lose, I decided that this was a stressful year (work, selling house, building new house, kid stuff) and that I wasn’t going to sweat it, I was just going to strive to maintain. Our house sale closed in early July, our new house won’t be ready until the end of October, and in the meantime we are living in a travel trailer, with somewhat limited cooking and storage options. Luckily the weather has been very accommodating, so lots of BBQs. But I was worried…the scale was in storage, and I’ve been a daily weigher for about 30 years. I’ve done my best to stay keto, but wondered…was I drinking too much wine/low carb beer…was I eating too many convenience foods (nuts, cheese, sausage) etc. Well I was at the Dr. yesterday and I hopped on his scale…exactly the same as I was 12 weeks ago. Yay me!
TL/DR: 10 weeks without a scale in challenging/stressful conditions and I stayed the same, yay me!
