A little followup…on days I work it’s hard to get enough food into me working 7 to 5 plus commute. I do eat to satiety always but often end up under 1000 cals for the day. Work is busy hectic on my feet all day. So yesterday I was off work. Had a salami sandwich on my 90 second keto bread at 5 as hunnie didn’t want to eat til later and then had a one pound slab of nicely fatty prime rib steak done to perfection on the bbq and a ceasar salad. Fat 160 g and protein 95 macros were really high…carbs 5.3 of course we’re low. This morning I’m down 2 pounds.
I’d love it if someone could give me a reasonable sciencey explanation here.
As always, thanks for your input and guidance.
Working does indeed prevent weight loss. Hmmmm!
Weight changes in the short term time frame (a day or two) are the body holding on to a different amount of water for various reasons (including sudden dietary changes, stress level etc.) as well as stomach content changes (but water is much heavier and can make much more of a difference).
Weight changes in the longer term time frame due just to fat storage changes (weekly weigh in) might just be half a pound (in either direction).
To detect the fat change you need to do the same things you did (eat the same food, drink the same liquid, work the same schedule, have the same stress etc.) and compare weights under those circumstances.
Back when I cooked my meat only on the BBQ, I hit perfection about 1 out of every 10 tries. Now that I do Sous Vide, I will hit perfection every single time from here on out
