Woosh effect - experiences

(Kathrine) #1

Hello everyone!

So I’m trying to lose the last 8-9 pounds and the fat on my butt, hips and my inner thighs has been extremely squishy for weeks now. I haven’t lost any weight and It feels like there is water in there.

Could it be the “woosh effect” and for how many weeks do you retain water?

What are your experiences?

Do you do any fasting?

With such a small amount to lose, the woosh effect may only be a pound now.

At least that my case. I’m very close to my goal, so I’m only losing fraction on pounds a week, then I will have a great weigh in with a whole pound lost.

Yes I’m doing intermittent fasting 16:8.
I think it’s different from person to person, but yes, weight loss might be slower now…

I’ve moved to EF and have had good results. Not sure how far you are into fat adaptation though.

I am fully fat afapted. I have been on keto for almost 5 months.

Have you tried or are you interested in trying EF?

If it helps you I could maybe give it a try
How many hours/days are you going to fast?

I’ve only done two EF’s so far. The first was 40 hours. The second I just completed was 60 hours. The first is saw just over about 3 pound drop, but two came right back on. Which means a 1 pound loss. This second one I’m also down about 3 pounds. As I just broke that fast, I’m not sure how much of it I’ll keep off, but I’m guessing much like the first time.
This is the only way I see the scale move down in a pound or more incriments anymore, unless it’s on a rebound from a waterweight gain.

I started doing 1-2 OMAD each week though to build up to being able to EF. I didnt see much extra weight loss on OMAD. It wasn’t until I did the EF that I saw a more significant drop.

Again, I’m less than 10 pounds away from my goal of 120, so for me, this last ten always creeps off. If I can push a 1 pound loss, it makes a huge difference.

Sounds interesting! The question is if it’s sustainable which is one for the most important things for me.
My goal is also 120:)!
We are not far away from that!
