Woke up hungry last night

This was quite weird. I ate at around 6 pm, had a super fatty meats skillet, very satisfying. At 1 am I woke up with a cavernous stomach like I hadnt eaten at all. I drank nearly a bottle of water and went back to bed. I finally fell asleep and woke up at 6:30 am to get ready for work. I was NOT hungry at all. What was this all about?

Sometimes it’s not actually hunger, but a craving for salt, or perhaps thirst.

If you think it might be a food craving instead of real hunger, try this: if you think you could eat an egg, or a couple of tablespoons of butter, then it’s real hunger, otherwise it’s just a craving and will pass.

Definitely something for me to look into but why such an empty feeling? It has been a while since I’ve had that. When I was a carber I woke up like that every morning.

It’s possible you were dreaming of food, and your insulin spiked.

It could happen! (Judy Tenuta mode off)

It is not you hungry.

maybe your gut bacteria is the one who is hungry.

This kind of thing happen to me.

I was doubting gut bacteria temporary overgroth

which then die off for whatever reason like bile or stomach acid or just out of fuel to make it survive.
