Well, I’m about 25% to my goal and was moderately successful in May and early June, but with a few slip ups on vacation. I wasn’t 100%, but I have noticed my WOE trends keto even if i slip. Meaning I can’t eat a whole piece of cake, or a whole bowl of ice cream. A bite or 2 and then i move on. And I now crave meats and cheeses instead of crackers and candy.
Well from 4.30 to 6.23 - where i would say i was about 80% compliant- I only lost a few pounds, but i lost 7 inches!!! holy cow. My body is still chugging along in its new paradigm, even when i wandered.
Say that about another diet, I dare you.
I am a science person, so i started measuring ketones via blood meter today as I would like to finish out the year at least 75% to my goal - I can’t even imagine what that would feel like, but i look forward to trying!
That’s not to say cheating was good, more to say i feel like this WOE is reinvigorating the body’s natural processes so that it can handle what you throw at it. The Keto care and feeding of the body makes it more resistant and adaptive if you do have a slip or a special occasion.
Still I have learned if i overindulge it won’t feel good, so my body is training me to keep it small, move on and get healthier!
